InGrid960 is a template for Adobe InDesign, which allows you to design websites based on the 960 Grid System Frameworks. It features 12 and 16 column layouts.
I think it’s not the handiest way to layout websites, but if someone is definitive faster with InDesign then Photoshop (the templates are included in the download file of the 960 Grid System Framework) it’s for sure a good base to start from.
What i find very convenient at the design process of websites with InDesign is, that if you start using paragraph- and characterstyles right from the beginning, you have a very good foundation for the implementation in CSS. I will drop some lines focusing on the topic “CSS vs. InDesign Characterstyles – Where can they learn from each other?” in the near future.
